The Gaithersburg HELP Rx (prescription) program assists clients by paying for a prescribed medication that the client cannot afford.

Our goal is to connect clients with community services that have established prescription programs in place. However, we may be able to bridge that gap by paying for a prescription now, and then we will advise you of low cost alternatives and programs for which you may apply to on your own.

Note: Not all medications can be funded by our program.

We DO NOT assist a client in getting a written prescription or talking to doctors.

If you are interested in participating in the Rx (prescription) program, you must:

  1. Have a valid, current prescription written by your doctor
  2. Be willing to take or transfer your prescription to a local participating Gaithersburg Pharmacy

Call us today at 301-216-2510 #3 if you are looking for prescription funding assistance.

**See your HHS caseworker for long-term coverage applications.
